Sumiyia N. Jafri, Esq.

Ms. Jafri is the founder of Jafri Law Firm, P.C. She is experienced in a variety of United States Immigration and Nationality Law matters. These include but are not limited to family-based immigrant visa petitions, employment-based permanent residence petitions, temporary employment visas, refugee and asylum, and citizenship and naturalization. Ms. Jafri also has a background in a variety of waivers, including fraud, misrepresentation, and extreme hardship to qualifying family members, applications for advance permission to enter as a non-immigrant, and applications for permission to reapply for admission following deportation or removal from the United States.

As an immigrant herself, Ms. Jafri is familiar with the struggles and hardships many immigrants face while trying to navigate through the myriad of forms, rules and regulations for United States immigration purposes. Her experiences have shaped her into a qualified professional, committed to advancing the interests of justice and equality. Ms. Jafri strives to provide a superior level of service to her clients. 

Ms. Jafri received her law degree from California Western School of Law, and Bachelors degree in Political Science and Arabic and Islamic Studies from University of California, Los Angeles. She is fluent in English, Hindi and Urdu, and also understands some Arabic, Spanish and French.

Ms. Jafri is admitted to practice law in the state of California. She is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA), both nationally and locally, and the California Bar. She is admitted to practice in the Central District Federal Court as well as immigration courts nationwide.
